Wild Raspberries Growing Along the Shore
You Can't Go Fishing and Not Catch a Goby
Hey, I SEE You!
Seagull eyeing up the small catch we were throwing back.
Reading the Campground Rules
Always to to snap a picture of the camp ground signs. The signs always serve as a return reference point at some time.
Flowering Lily Pads
My favorite time in the summer on the bay and the lakes are to search for flowering lily pads. I think they are so cool, and plenty of wildlife always hang out near them.
Straight. We chose straight to head out the the pier.
Some additional guys on the other side of the rocky pier. It appeared they were having the same luck as us. Small catches, one after another.
If I sit to Long I go Buggy, Literally
I can hear the bugs all around me and can't focus on the task at hand, fishing. My camera sits next to me on the rocks to grab a few shots in between waiting to reel in catches.
Fun Watching Others Fish
I focused on a young merganser's fishing skills along the rocks. Looks like she is having crayfish for din din.
No complaints and least we get something for our efforts. Reel them in, take 'em off and release them. One after another all afternoon long.
Yellow perch were biting. It has been awhile since there was one on MY hook. The man has the special touch!
Sitting Back Relaxing
Guarding the bait in a patch of daisies, that was my job for 20 minutes. My butt hurts from sitting on rocks, I'm getting a little board and I'm sunburnt. Ugh!
In the spirit of keeping things light and fun, I'm taking a time out in the daisy patch to regroup. No complains. I can pass my time watching everything around the shoreline.
Looking For the Big Ones
This man is a diehard fisherman and will find a fish. Just give him a few minutes.
